R.D. Merrill Company, which owns Merrill Gardens, has named two new executives. Doug Spear has been raised to chief investment officer, while Patricia Handjaja has assumed the position of chief financial officer.
Spear, a 27-year veteran of the company, will lead growth initiatives, strategic partnerships, investor relations, and long-term development strategy. Handjaja, with over 20 years of experience, will oversee financial, accounting, treasury, and risk management functions.
A Place for Mom Names CTO
A Place for Mom has named Jason Conley as its new chief technology officer. Conley will work closely with the chief product officer to apply AI in ways that support families and caregivers.
Conley brings 25 years of experience to the role, including previous positions as CTO at VIP Medical Group and Envera Health.
New Leadership Roles in Senior Living
Several other companies have announced new leadership roles in the senior living industry. David Coster has been appointed senior housing senior director at architecture firm Cline, where he will lead efforts to expand the firm’s senior living capabilities.
Coster has over 30 years of experience, including 12 years at Retirement Living Associates. Ashley Lacis has joined RKL LLP as practice leader of its senior living services consulting group, bringing 20 years of experience to the role.
At Juniper Communities, Katie Kensinger has been promoted to national director of marketing after nearly a decade with the organization. Americare Senior Living has announced that Scott Kaligian will transition to regional director of operations for the skilled nursing region in Missouri, bringing 22 years of healthcare leadership experience to the role.
