CPHI Milan 2026 Launches Four Specialist Zones for Pharma Innovation

CPHI Milan 2026, a major global event for the pharmaceutical industry, has introduced four specialist zones to connect drug companies with technologies and services shaping healthcare’s future.

The event, held at Fiera Milano in Rho, Italy, from October 6-8, 2026, will feature zones focused on AI & Tech, Cold Chain & Logistics, Labelling, and Contamination Control.

Specialist zones address industry challenges

These zones aim to provide platforms for suppliers and innovators to engage with pharmaceutical decision-makers facing challenges like regulatory pressure, digital transformation, and supply chain disruptions.

The launch follows growing demand for collaboration between pharma and sectors like software, logistics, and advanced manufacturing.

AI & Tech and Cold Chain & Logistics zones

The AI & Tech Zone will showcase technologies for manufacturing optimization, quality management, and regulatory compliance.

The Cold Chain & Logistics Zone will focus on technologies supporting compliant, resilient, and sustainable pharmaceutical logistics, including temperature-controlled packaging and real-time monitoring.

The Labelling Zone will highlight innovations in compliance, traceability, and patient engagement, featuring serialisation technologies and smart packaging.

Driven by stricter global standards, the Contamination Control Zone will provide a platform for suppliers supporting sterile manufacturing and cleanroom operations.

CPHI Milan has partnered with the International Confederation of Contamination Control Societies (ICCCS) to expand contamination control’s presence at the event.

ICCCS, representing experts from over 20 countries, will shape certification sessions and workshops, promoting collaboration within its global network.

CPHI Milan 2026 will gather global pharmaceutical leaders, manufacturers, and innovators, building on the success of previous editions.

Expanding Collaboration Across Industries

The new zones reflect CPHI’s strategy to broaden the pharmaceutical innovation ecosystem by engaging industries not traditionally part of the pharmaceutical value chain. These sectors, including software, logistics, and advanced manufacturing, offer technologies critical to the industry’s future.

Spotlight on Key Zones and Partnerships

The AI & Tech Zone will feature providers of software, digital infrastructure, and intelligent technologies.

In the Cold Chain & Logistics Zone, the focus will be on technologies and services supporting the global expansion of biologics, cell and gene therapies, and temperature-sensitive medicines.

These advancements aim to enhance patient safety and regulatory alignment.

It will feature specialists in cleanroom technology, monitoring systems, and sterilization, supporting pharmaceutical companies in meeting stricter global standards.

ICCCS, representing experts from over 20 countries, will play a key role in shaping certification sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing forums. This collaboration aims to establish contamination control as a long-term industry priority, with 2026 serving as the foundation for future growth.

Contamination Control Zone Partnership with ICCCS

This collaboration aims to establish a centralized meeting point for the contamination control community, supporting connections between manufacturers, suppliers, regulators, and innovators.

They will also promote the event to their global network of cleanroom specialists, filtration providers, monitoring system manufacturers, and validation services. The partnership offers preferential member rates and priority stand access to encourage sector participation.
